Getting Started
As a newcomer to Metalcore, you'll embark on your journey with the prologue mission, guiding you through the initial stages and leading you to craft your very own Jet bike in the garage mission. Once equipped, you'll be prompted to pledge allegiance to a faction. For the sake of this guide, let's consider you've chosen the Holy Corp.
Crafting System
MetalCore's crafting system is intricate yet rewarding. By gathering resources and components, players can construct a range of war machines, from agile tanks and swift aircraft to awe-inspiring mechs. The game's blueprint system provides a clear roadmap, detailing the components needed for each creation. Occasionally, you might stumble upon limited spawn vehicles. These are pre-constructed marvels, ready for action, but bear in mind that they can only be spawned once.
Vehicle Customization and Abilities
Each vehicle in Metalcore is a masterpiece, equipped with unique abilities and weapons. Take, for instance, the Zephyr Mech, a behemoth armed with twin laser weapons, and defensive rockets, and cloaked with invisibility. Its pièce de résistance? A teleport ability that can turn the tide of battle.
$MCG Token Utility
$MCG, Metalcore's native token, is a crucial partof the game's economy. Players can engage in activities such as looting, crafting, trading resources, and vehicles, and competing for territory and resources in structured PvP. $MCG is essential for:
Unlocking higher tiers of rewards
Repairing and respawning units
Upgrading equipment
Hiring infantry
Purchasing items from the in-game shop
$MCG is both a sink and a faucet within the game economy. It is drained through activities like upgrading and purchasing items while being replenished through in-game boosts and rewards such as airdrops and social quests.
Factions and Baronies
Players can fight as a mercenary Earther or join one of the warring factions: the despotic Gearbreakers, theocratic Holy Corporation, or anarchic Metal Punks. Starting a Barony and recruiting vassals allows players to pool resources and time to progress and grow their Baronies.
Ownership and Progression
MetalCore empowers players to customize their gameplay and own their in-game assets. Players can fabricate new vehicles from blueprints and every blueprint or vehicle NFT they craft belongs to them. Recruiting players to fight under a player's banner grants XP and rewards as the Barony's power rises.
Beta Access and Release
MetalCore is currently in its Closed Beta phase, which ran from February 26th to May 14th.
